Takticz a.k.a Nate Curry Jr. is a 19 year old up-and-coming emcee/soul singer from Sacramento California. Born and raised in the Greater Sacramento area Takticz is no newcomer to the music industry. His dad is Sacramento’s own Legendary underground Hip-Hop producer N8 the Gr8 from The Cuf. Takticz has been around the Hip-hop scene his whole life. He recorded on his first record at the age of three, and has made numerous other guest appearances since. He has a knowledge of Hip-Hop music far beyond his 19 years. People have been calling him the next Drake but his soulful voice compares more to a style like D’Angelo. Currently Takticz has released his first solo track “Transitions”, a true to form boom-bap, hip-hop joint from his yet to be named Debut album. The song has been received extremely well by his peers and the fans of The Cuf that have watched him grow up and come into his own as an artist. His next release “Not Like All The Others” has the potential to be a radio smash, and is the first time he will be showcasing his singing to the world. Xavier Sanchez is young and hungry. Confident but not cocky, his raw talent and metaphors made me screech to a halt. At 21 years of age he is young enough to have a bright future in the world of hip hop, and old enough to let the competition in upstate know he’s not playing. His smooth flow and perfectly placed ad-libs made me hit repeat. Dancing from bar to bar he raps with ease. His track “child’s play” puts a creative twist on some of your favorite board games and t.v shows> i loved it. The multitude of metaphor’s hit the nail square on the head for this concept song, and honestly i had to giggle at a couple of em’… “all these rappers singing like a bunch of canary’s avoiding talking to me like a round of pictionary” “Gorilla warfare every-time that i battle, so all you little monkey’s can hop right back into your barrel” and a song he wrote for his mom made my eye’s leak a little. His influence’s include Big L, Hopspin, Biggie and Drake. When he is not writing or performing you can catch him at heid’s in liverpool or umping a softball or baseball game. He works hard and it impresses me that he knows he is just not going to drop a track and gain a million fans. He goes by the rap name Exoticz but personally i think he needs to drop that and just use his first name. He does not need a fancy stage name (he is that good). If you want to check some of his music go to Reverbnation and punch in Exoticz, you wont be disappointed.
